Image Description, by

My name is Marc Salmurri and last September I began coding a 3D engine from scratch. If I reach my goals, these will be some of its main features:
Realtime lights.
Realtime shadows.
Realtime reflections.
Octree based visibility determination.
what you see in the picture is realtime lighting (with specularity) with just 48 triangles in the scene at 800x600x16x30-60fps on my poor pII 233 + i740 (the picture is 1024x768x16 [*editor's note: scaled down to 640x480]). As you can see, it isn't per vertex lighting gouraud-like approach at all...BTW, the new creature is called "Hurricane".
